Attendance
Make sure that your son or daughter is in school on time every school day, unless an illness or emergency prevents this.
Call the Office before 8:30am
Please call the office before 8:30 a.m. on the day of the absence to inform the school of an illness or emergency that prevents school attendance; therefore, requests for other types of absences are strongly discouraged. Parents should plan family vacation during regular school vacation times.
As a school, we are deeply concerned that students are being taken out of school for family vacations. Although we believe strongly in time with family, we ask that parents plan vacations according to breaks within the regular school calendar.
Our school breaks are as follows:
- Fall Break (1 week) October 1-5, 2007
- Winter Break (2 weeks) December 20, 2007 - January 4, 2008
- Spring Break (1 week) March 20-28, 2008
Mandatory Requirement
Ho`ike is a mandatory requirement, therefore students are required to attend and participate.
