Algebra 1 & 2 are one credit courses designed with the intent of studying in-depth traditional Algebra concepts through a variety of activities, which when coupled with thematic, real-life applications, allow the students to develop a greater appreciation for mathematics and its applicability within society.
These courses will provide students the opportunity to learn and develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, which allow for higher-level analysis of problem sets. Students will also learn to work cooperatively within groups, to analyze problems, and to determine possible problem-solving strategies.

My philosophy of education has been formed on the strong belief that education
provides individuals with the tools and knowledge necessary to understand
and actively participate within today’s ever-changing world. Higher
education helps to sustain the human values that contribute to individual
and collective wellbeing, and is the basis for lifelong learning. It inspires
confidence, provides skills, and enables people to become more self-reliant
and aware of opportunities while enhancing the quality of one’s life.
