Ka Mo'omeheu Hawai'i

Welina mai käkou.

I am Adrian Keali`ilani K.K. Akina aka Kumu Keali`i. My family comes from He`eiakea and Kailua O`ahu. I was born in Kelemania and raised in Kaleponi until high school. I graduated from Kamehameha in 1995 and UH Mänoa in 1999, moved to Moku o Keawe and married the love of my life.


We have been blessed with four God loving children. They are home schooled by my awesome wife.

Course Overview

Ka Mo`omeheu Hawa`i (Hawaiian Culture) Periods 3, 4, and 7. Students learn about the Hawaiian language, the beginnings of the Hawaiian people, and about the way our küpuna viewed the world around them.

Instructors Philosophy of Education

All students have the ability to learn I as a teacher must learn to see the potential of each individual student so I can identify how to nuture that potential. My number one goal with each of my students is to build a relationship of trust and respect between the two of us. I know that all things are possible and any student can and will grow when trust, respect, and belief are a part of their daily lives.

• University of Hawaiÿi at Mänoa, B.Ed. in Secondary Education in the first Hawaiian Immersian Cohort in the College of Education.
