Kamehameha High School - Services

Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Kamehameha Schools Hawai'i Campus Security Department is to ensure a safe, secure and orderly campus environment that is conducive to learning and facilitates the pursuit of achievement.

The development of proactive approaches, objective analyses and detailed policies and procedures will ensure the prevention of incidents and protection of assets.

The approach is driven by the desire to maintain a security system that will provide an open an inviting feel for students, faculty, staff and visitors yet remain operationally feasible and cost effective.

**We have a comprehensive emergency operations plan written specifically for our campus. This includes an emergency response team and crisis intervention team.

**Our security staff is on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 50% of our security personnel are former law enforcement officials. All security personnel are certified in CPR, First Aid, AED (automated external defibrillator) and have extensive training in crisis management.

**We are in direct communication with civil defense regarding all natural disasters. If these occur while school is in session, students will stay on campus. We are prepared and equipped to house our entire student body.

Listen for automated phone message. It is imperative that parents give updated and accurate home, work and cell phone numbers.
