Work Based Learning: Job Shadows

All juniors participate in a Job Shadow experience based on career interests. Students observe an employee in a particular occupation, reflecting the student's Career Academy designation.

Annual Highlights

Based on a work based learning model, 144 students explore job positions with in their Academy. Big Island employers and community members serve as site mentors for 3-5 hours. Examples include Veterinarians and Doctors, Attorneys, graphic designers, contractors, counselors, etc.
